So I havent checkd in for a while... I suppose thats what separates people like me from those "career" bloggers out there (I've often thought it strange that blogging is now a career... ). in any case lots has changed, lots has (and hasnt) happened... and here we sit on the day after independance day and I am revelling in my three day weekend with my early birthday present that my loving wife and family all chipped in to get!
What is it? hrmm... first let me tell you what has and hasnt changed... I know all two of you copepod blog fans out there cant stand the suspense huh.... So since my last entry the system has gone through a few small changes... most notably a larger sump under the sectional tanks. it seemed every time the power went out water would hit the floor.... so I made use of an outside rain collection barrel ala Lowes and am quite happy with the new capacity!! Aside from that my Ocellaris clowns have stopped laying eggs... though the black pair is definately showing signs of maturity and wanting to I think they're still young yet... so no clowns for a while.
My mandarin passed... cause unknown however the wife and I think it was due to high blood pressure and other problems related to obesity... She will not be replaced for a bit as i'm deciding whether to try and set up a pair. Also, as study of the Nassarius continue I'm working on another project that should prove interesting... Breeding of Salarias Fasciatus the Lawnmower blenny. While pairs and spawns have been reported in captivity, reports are few and there are no known successes... so this proves to be interesting. So far I've taken my sweet time with both projects. So now that I've bored you with lengthy words...
My Grandparents, Mother, and Wife all pitched in a picked me up a Canon Rebel XS... while it's not the high end of the SLR's it's a HUGE difference from my 5 megapixel point and suck.... the camera came with two lenses, and the wife has already helped me equip it with a good padded bag for lens protection and an extra battery... I've spent most of my weekend looking through it to one degree or another... This should prove very very useful in my hobby and studies for sure!!! And to top it off, while using it I noticed a few new suprises!!
I finally have Tubastrea settlement in an area of the tank I can see!!!
so on to the pics

lotsa pics huh....
