Been a while since check in here, but... eh I suppose I should at least update everyone.
On my attempt with the Salarias fasciatus.... second failure in the books... and heres where the whole world gets brighter despite the failure. My wife caught the entire situation on video tape, so now I can review and find out exactly *what* went wrong.
Not only did she catch it on tape, but she changed tapes, giving me hours of footage to review And then.... after noticing how badly the female had been beaten up my loving wife god bless her... moved the female to another tank.
Unfortunately, the female did not make it.
I know this whole thing is exceptionally hard on my wife, watching me effectively "sacrifice" fishies for the cause. And blennies with their wonderful nature and personality, make it harder still. Yet she supports me in my crazy trials and tribulations.... She doesnt even scold me when we leave the fish store... salt, food, and receipt in hand.
Hobbyists.... hug your partners!!! They've gotten used to supporting us despite our wet hands, splashing water on the floors, and spending the life savings on stuff like "live rock". They dont kick us out when we explain that the $400 charge on the credit card was necessary for "removing organics" and they dont ask why in gods name we need to change our light bulbs even though they still light up. No, they just smile... sometimes grimmace, and lend support and grace while we toil about in our water filled glass boxes.
In any case.... till next time, I will review this footage and ponder my next step in the algae blenny experiment. And I *WILL* remind my wife how much I love her (cause I dont do it enough)!
